QueenSpark Books held a celebration in the Mayor’s Parlour in Brighton.
At the reception hosted by Brighton Mayor, Councillor Anne Meadows (to the right of John Riches), Imogen Lycett Green (to the right of Sarah Hutchings) spoke about her involvement with QueenSpark Books saying “We winkle out hidden histories and weave them together to make books. I have become truly inspired by QueenSpark’s mission”.
As part of a fresh approach to community and local history in its 40th year, QueenSpark had asked three respected authors and journalists to be patrons: Virginia Nicholson (Books include: ‘Millions like us’, ‘Singled out’, and ‘Among the Bohemians’), Imogen Lycett Green (author of ‘Grandmother’s Footsteps’), and Roy Greenslade, a columnist for The Guardian, and the Evening Standard.
QueenSpark had just launched its 100th book, a selection of fifty photographs from the Brighton & Hove Photographic Collection.
